The Ask

Reposition Canadian beans as a trendy food and versatile food ingredient by leveraging the stories, flavours, and nutrition attribute of other commodities to elevate their allure with Canadian beans as a supportive ingredient.

Our Answer

The design and development of a custom microsite that acted as a hub for all Canadian bean information – from bean basics to recipes. The microsite also served as the delivery mechanism for the partnership content in which consumers explored regions across Canada, hearing from farmers, chefs/influencers, and other commodity groups (ie: chicken, seafood, mushrooms, etc). Through social content and strategic digital advertising on Meta and Pinterest, millions of new and existing bean customers were able to see beans positioned in a new and exiting way, while being directed to the website to engage with content from beans and adjacent partners.

Success

  • Campaign made over 15M impressions and reached 11M people in 7 months, with both organic and paid efforts.
  • Content on all social channels received over 325,000. engagements from consumers.
  • Influencer partnership reached over 830,000 consumers.
  • Participating commodity board partners were thrilled to take part and impressed how easy R+S made it to work with Canadian beans.
